Well, didn’t we have a lovely time?! The first Essex Vintage Wedding Fair was held at the Shire Hall, Chelmsford on Saturday 19th November and was a huge success! Despite my fears of an echoing hall with tumbleweeds blowing past rows of beautiful exhibitions, there was a seriously amazing atmosphere with the happy chat of vintage brides-to-be mixed with the beautiful singing from Violet Rae Wartime Tribute Singer.
Despite the venue being at the top of two flights of stairs and an over-exuberant cat lady downstairs the response to the fair was huge! In just the first hour we had 45 people visit and, by the end of the day, over 200 had enjoyed meeting the exhibitors, soaking up the atmosphere and sampling some delicious tea & cakes! It was lovely to see so many brides-to-be trying on vintage tiaras, discussing dress designs and perusing photographers’ portfolios!
With such amazing exhibitors as Andrea Beun Couture, Charlotte-Rose Designs, The Postbox Hire Company and Parry’s Ice Cream Bike to name just a few, it wasn’t surprising that everybody looked so happy and enjoyed the day so much!
A huge thank you to everybody who has supported my first ever fair – to the fabulous exhibitors who believed in me in the first place, to the most important people, of course, the brides-to-be! Needless to say, the next fair is already in the pipeline and I can’t wait to get organising!
